Leading German consumer trade publication Lebensmittel Zeitung has announced its ‘Top-Marke’ awardees for 2016. From over 5,000 brands, one hundred were selected including the Kerrygold brand based on sustainable brand management practices and performance within their category. The list was compiled by independent entity GfK, Germany’s largest market research body, who analysed the purchase behaviour of over 30,000 German households.
Kerrygold is not a newcomer to the award and won the ‘Top-Marke’ for butter and butter specialities in 2014 and Kerrygold Extra was also awarded the ‘Top-Marke’ for the mixed fats category in 2011 and 2012. The ‘Top-Marke’ emblem is widely recognised across Germany and will be leveraged in both consumer and trade marketing.
